Fixtures and hardware repairs
Fixtures and hardware repairs includes the maintenance, adjustment, or replacement of the various functional and decorative components in a home or building that are attached to walls, doors, cabinets, or other surfaces.
Fixtures and hardware repair process usually starts with inspecting the
item to determine if it is loose, broken, worn out, misaligned, or corroded. Common
examples include door handles, locks, hinges, knobs, cabinet pulls, towel bars,
hooks, light switch plates, and bathroom or kitchen fixtures. Depending on the
problem, the technician may tighten screws, lubricate moving parts, replace
damaged components, or install entirely new hardware. For example, a loose
cabinet knob can be re-secured, a rusted towel bar replaced, or a faulty lock
mechanism repaired to restore proper function. In bathrooms and kitchens,
fixtures such as faucets, showerheads, and soap dispensers may also require
repairs due to leaks, mineral buildup, or mechanical wear.
